Data Warehouse

A data warehouse is a central repository of information that typically ingests data from different sources in an organization. It’s common for this data to be extracted, transformed and loaded on a regular cadence.

By consuming data from different departments, the data inside an organization is consolidated, and by going through a necessary ETL process, many times this data achieves better quality, consistency and accuracy.

A data warehouse is specially designed for processes that involve reading large amounts of data. These can include the creation of reports, dashboard and visualizations or even the training of machine learning models.
