EAI is recognized by the National Innovation Agency

The Recognition

Enlightenment.AI (EAI) is proud to announce that the Portuguese National Innovation Agency (ANI) has recognized EAI, as a suitable company for Research and Development in the following areas:

• IT Applied to Business

• Internet of Things (IoT)

• IT Applied to Health

To receive this certification, EAI submitted a number of use cases in each of the three areas of R&D for consideration in the relevant areas, which were then reviewed and positively evaluated by a technical committee of experts.

This ANI recognition is given after just three years of EAI activity, an impressive feat that proves EAI’s competence to carry out R&D activities. Furthermore, it reinforces EAI’s constant commitment to a high standard of service, innovation, and tools for its customers.

Tax Benefits for Portuguese Companies

This announcement makes it possible for Portuguese clients who want to utilize the SIFIDE program to now include these eligible areas in the scope of services eligible for a tax deduction. The SIFIDE program supports companies by deducting a percentage of Research and Development expenses from their total corporate income tax collection at rates between 32.5% and 82.5%.

This lowers the cost of development to an effective minimum of 17.5%.
